Your Role Is To Play
I had an experience last night where I got to practice finding the fun in a painful moment. I went to bed with some unusual pain near my pelvis. I had a couple of negative thoughts about “what was wrong.” Then I made the choice to trust that all was well with my body. In the middle of the night I woke up in severe pain. Whoa! What the heck was going on? The scary thoughts came again. I went to worst-case scenarios in ten seconds flat! I knew I could make a different choice. I decided to have some fun and use my Inner Magician.
Last week at the end of one of my yoga classes, we had an unusually invigorating conversation about the Ten Commandments, focusing mostly on “thou shalt not steal.” Webster’s defines the word “steal” as to take the property of another without right or permission. We all can create vacuums in our lives that will benefit others. Those clothes, shoes, and toys that have gone unworn and unused for months, can be given to needy families. All churches, social organizations and state departments have lists of people who would be very grateful for these items. Do not wait until Thanksgiving and Christmas to do this. Commit to doing this two to four times a year. Organize a Christmas in July food drive.How to Move Forward
When you understand that what lies in front of you is better than what lies behind, you will endure and prosper. Letting go of the past is mandatory. Let go of frustration and disappointments. They are bad baggage and need to be placed in their proper place. In order to move forward we need to stop letting mistakes, bad ideas outdated beliefs, lack of character and values keep us in bondage. We all have a higher calling and mission that’s bigger than any of us. Our victories are made of substances that fuel others to victory. Getting a portion of this endless abundance and prosperity isn’t a feeling of entitlement in any shape or form, it is that you deserve it because of your hard work and your relentless approach to making things happen, no matter what. We all agree that hard work does pay off, and if nothing happened after working hard, that means you didn’t work hard enough. If success was that easy, everyone would be millionaires, and no one would want to work hardly enough as it would come too easy. That is why there are just a very few who makes it big, because these few are the very hard working people. Learn to be among them.
